Deciding to offer his own running commentary on Twitter during the show last night, Lord Sugar revealed that Neil was the 'right man' but failed because he had the wrong plan - which was to create an online estate agency scheme.
Taking to the social networking site, the business mogul tweeted: 'Seriously sorry Neil had to go.he would not change his plan.' He referred to Neil again in a later tweet which read: 'Neil right man wrong plan. B****y shame he was so adamant.'

Admitting his disappointment at having to let Neil go, Lord Sugar said in the boardroom:
'It's a shame that you're still sitting here believing in it. I might as well put that money in a slot machine. I might as well throw it over London Bridge. It's sickening for me to sit here with someone who's been as powerful as you - the right man, the wrong plan. I'm sorry, I'd give you a job tomorrow, but going into business, I'm afraid not... you're fired.'
Whilst Lord Sugar may have ruled out going into business with Neil, we wonder if in time Lord Sugar and Neil will work together again as Lord Sugar appeared to show real disappointment at having to let him go.
Meanwhile, Neil's fellow axed candidate Francesca MacDuff Varley has spoken out after her exit from the show. Believing that her facial expressions gave her away when she was given tough questions to answer, the axed candidate admitted to The Sun:
'I learnt that I can never play poker. I genuinely never realised that the thoughts I have in my head transferred to my face as much as they do. The good thing with me is that I am what you see and you can obviously see what I'm thinking. I'm facially expressive.
'I could do with some Botox to stop people knowing what I am thinking!'
